Where would the Aztecs most likely live?

I have to do this social studies thing and I need Geography on the Aztecs. Does anyone have any info? I have that they came from South America, live in Mexico, and live in the forests. Anything else? My teacher got mad at me for having nothing else down. That's all the info that book gave me.
