Catholics, I feel...weird about this...HELP?

I go to m every week. And when it is time to receive the sacrament, I am kind of embarred to receive a blessing from the priest. Because I feel that maybe he would be caught off guard? Or maybe the other church-go-ers will look weird at me? And how is he supposed to bless me if he is holding a bowl of Christ's body? I am not a Catholic yet. What do I do? I just freeze up, and don't go into the line. How will he do the blessing? Do I say amen after, or what?
