Should I even bother taking this final?

It's my English final. I'm in 9th grade, but I have such a low grade in my English cl that even I got, like, a 100 on that final I wouldn't p. I need summer school for it. It seems like a huge waste of time going in and taking a final and having it not count for anything. Advice? What would happen if I don't take it? And think before you call me lazy. I have such a low grade because I missed a lot of school, because I had the swine flu and lost two very close family members this year.
